Terms

Last updated November 4, 2026

These terms have two parts. Part 1 covers the text messages people sign up for. Part 2 is the agreement every business accepts when it creates a TextLoop account.

Part 1: SMS terms for subscribers

  • Businesses use TextLoop to send recurring marketing and informational text messages, such as deals, reminders and news, to customers who opt in. Each message names the business it is from.
  • Message frequency varies by business. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Text STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will get one text confirming you are unsubscribed, and no more texts after that. Text START to rejoin.
  • Text HELP for help, or email support@textloop.app.
  • Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Our Privacy Policy explains how your information is used. Mobile numbers and text sign-ups are never shared with third parties for their marketing.

Part 2: Terms of Service for businesses

By creating an account or using TextLoop, you (the business, and the person signing up on its behalf) agree to these terms. If you sign up for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to accept them for it.

1. Consent: you may only text people who agreed

  • You will only send marketing texts to people who gave you prior express written consent to get marketing texts from your business, as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and carrier rules require. Buying something, giving a number at checkout or filling in a contact form is not consent to marketing texts on its own.
  • You will not upload, buy, rent, borrow or scrape phone lists to text. Numbers you import start without consent, and TextLoop will not text them until the person opts in themselves.
  • You will honor STOP and every other opt-out request right away, and won't text that person again unless they opt back in.
  • You will keep any consent you collect outside TextLoop on record, and give it to us if a carrier, regulator or court asks.
  • You will clearly name your business in your texts and on your sign-up materials, and only promise what you will deliver.

2. Following the law and carrier rules

You are responsible for following every law and rule that applies to your texts, including:

  • The TCPA, the CAN-SPAM Act for emails, the Telemarketing Sales Rule, and state laws on texting, quiet hours and consumer privacy (such as the Florida, Oklahoma and Maryland telephone solicitation acts, and the California Consumer Privacy Act).
  • Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), if you text people in Canada.
  • The CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and the rules of the phone carriers.
  • Carrier registration (A2P 10DLC or toll-free verification). The information you give for it must be true and match your business.

TextLoop includes tools that help, such as sending-hour limits, automatic opt-out handling and consent records. These tools don't replace your own responsibility, and nothing TextLoop provides is legal advice. If you are unsure, ask a lawyer.

3. What you may not send

You may not use TextLoop to send texts that:

  • Promote or involve illegal goods or services, or are fraudulent, deceptive or misleading (including phishing or impersonating someone).
  • Involve sexual or adult content, hate speech, harassment, threats or violence.
  • Promote alcohol, tobacco, vaping, cannabis or CBD, firearms or ammunition, gambling, or controlled substances, except where carriers allow it with age checks and the law permits it.
  • Offer high-risk financial services, such as payday loans, debt collection or relief, credit repair, or "get rich quick" schemes.
  • Contain malware or hide where a link goes.
  • Are sent for a different business than the one registered on your account.

4. Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password secure, and tell us about any unauthorized use.
  • You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by your staff.
  • You own your customer lists and content. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide TextLoop to you.
  • Features that use AI, such as writing help, automatic replies and website building, can make mistakes. Review what they produce. You are responsible for what you send and publish.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

  • Paid plans renew every month until you cancel. Prices and message limits are shown when you choose a plan. Free trials end on the date shown, and then your plan starts unless you cancel first.
  • Texts count against your plan by message segment, the way phone carriers bill. A long text can count as more than one.
  • You can cancel at any time in Billing. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
  • Carrier registration fees and phone number fees charged by our texting provider may be passed on to you, and we will show them before you are charged.

6. Suspension and ending service

We may pause sending, suspend or close an account without notice if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms, receives many complaints or carrier warnings, puts our service or other businesses at risk, or if a carrier or regulator requires it. If we close your account for a breach, no refund is owed.

7. Responsibility for claims

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless TextLoop and its owners, employees and providers from claims, fines, penalties and costs (including reasonable lawyers' fees) that come from your texts, your contacts, your content, or your breach of these terms or the law. This includes TCPA claims and carrier fines.

8. Disclaimers and limits

  • TextLoop is provided "as is". We work to keep it running, but texts can be delayed, filtered or not delivered by carriers, and we don't promise any result, such as sales.
  • To the extent the law allows, TextLoop is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

9. Changes and general terms

  • We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Using TextLoop after that means you accept the new terms.
  • If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.
  • These terms, with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and TextLoop about the service.
